The top 12 photographs in this gallery are from a “new to me” camera that I was testing. This camera has a microprism focus screen which “I” do not pair well with. I find them very difficult to use. The result is that I find it hard to get correct focus much of the time, so many of these photographs are soft. This camera also has a light leak which caused a light strip to appear at the bottom of some of the portraits.

 

But none of that diminishes the experience of meeting the people in these images. Nor does it dimmish the enrichment I gained from our little interaction.  That is after all the motivation behind my People Interrupted project. So, I choose to show the images even when the technical photographic elements are subpar. Because they still mean something to me, and I’ve told them they will be able to see their image.
